A traditional race game for 2-4 players that has its origins in 6th century India.

Each player has four pieces and the object is to them all from the start area to your home triangle at the centre of the board. If you throw a six you can start the journey with one of your pieces and then advance around the board as you throw the dice. When you are near to home you will need to throw the exact number to get to safety.

However, beware of the other players’ pieces! If your piece is alone on a square then it can be topped by another player landing a piece on the same square. If this happens your piece is return to your start area – and you have to throw a six to re-start the journey. If you have two or more pieces on the same square then they are safe, and another player cannot land on this square.
